I’ve recently had the urge to listen to my old tapes, and relish the music of my bad teenage years. Haven’t had a tape player in ages, though. I was shopping for a nakamichi, but I think the prices on those are the same as they were in the 80’s. Did some homework on vintagecassette.com and tapeheads.net, for acceptable alternatives. Found this gem on eBay—an NAD 6300, in mint condition, and the buy now price was too good to pass up! 3 head, direct drive, Dolby B and C, and digital meters for full 80’s high tech glory. Built like a tank, too—I think NAD hardware is underrated. Now ‘scuse me while I rock out to The Uplift Mofo Party Plan.
